Affordable Luxury Spa Experience at Marina Bay Spa + Review and Video Tour

Thursday, January 11, 2018

Perfect for working peeps on a budget.

If you’re looking for a spa experience that would totally give you that much needed relaxation, I know a place that is affordable but doesn’t look cheap at all. We’re talking about luxurious, holistic spa experience that you can indulge for a maximum of 4 hours.

Yes, you can actually stay in Marina Bay Spa up to 4 hours. This is not your typical spa salon that washes your feet with other people and lock you in a tiny massage room. Nope, you’ll get what you pay for.

What you will experience?
Marina Bay Spa and Lifestyle Club offers different kinds of massage ranging from ₱1,500 to 3,000. I decided to avail the cheapest massage as I’m not really obsessed with different kind of massage techniques. But that’s not it! It’s inclusive of buffet which I seriously love because the food is so tasty and delicious! Drools!

You can also access and use the ff. facilities:
  • Shower Area
  • Jacuzzi Pool
  • Sauna Room
  • Steam Room
  • Hot Stone Room
  • Entertainment Room
  • 1 hour Massage (of your choice)
BUT FIRST, FOOD!

What you gonna eat?
You can actually get some coffee, tea, or juice.  At least 5 dishes to choose from, some noodle soup, side dishes, and of course desserts and fruits!

Buffet Hours: 11:30 AM - 12:00 AM

I’m a little shy actually to try everything on the buffet area but I did it anyway. Haha! My stomach was veryyyyy satisfied.
They will be opening their own restaurant too, La Vie, very soon. Hoping on my next visit, I could try it!

Oh, if you’re going at Marina Bay Spa as a couple, I’m informing you that you can’t experience the massage together. You will both experience the said facilities/services but separately. It’s divided exclusively for ladies and gents.

Shower Area

Love how spacious it is! The water’s temperature can be easily adjusted according to your liking. Shampoo, conditioner, bath soap and feminine wash for the girls are readily available in each cubicle.
*Sorry, I don't have a photo. Watch the video below this post to see what it looks like.*

Jacuzzi Pool

Tip: Bring your own bikini. So as much as I wanted to experience this, they require you to soak in the water - naked. Well, I’m willing actually to do it if that’s their requirement but I saw a group of women wearing swimsuits. I asked one of the attending workers if that’s okay as she said yes. So next time, I’m def bringing a bikini.

That’s why couples can’t enjoy this together but you can still relax and enjoy the spa yourself.

Jacuzzi Pool Area
Sauna and Steam Room

Beside the jacuzzi are the sauna and steam room. I felt really relaxed that time even if I’m sweating like crazy. Love that the other ladies don’t make unnecessary noises even if they’re like a groupie. Sauna and Steam are different rooms but I didn’t tried the steam anymore so I can’t share but one of the attendees said it’s just almost the same.

Jacuzzi Pool, Sauna and Steam Room located on the right side of this Jacuzzi.
Hot Stone Room

I’m not comfortable laying down on hard surfaces but I enjoyed the heat that a matress-looking marble stone gave me. There’s a tv but doesn’t have sounds based on what I remember. Lol. I was searching for the remote but couldn’t find it tho.

Gym and Fitness Area

Bar Lounge

Infinity Pool Area

And that’s it guys, to make it clear, whatever massage technique you would choose, you can still access the shower area, Jacuzzi pool, sauna and steam room, hot stone and entertainment room. Walk-ins are welcome but I suggest booking it in advance as slots for massage are limited sometimes.

Only members are allowed to enter the 2nd floor which you can find the famous infinity pool, access to ktv bar, game and bar lounge, fitness gym, sunset view deck and conference rooms. If you don’t have a membership, you may ask ushers to take you for a quick tour just like I did. I’m not sure if its really allowed but they assisted me to go upstairs and take a peek of the gorgeous manila bay view from their infinity pool area. To know the membership prices: go here

You actually need a car to go there. It’s quite such a long walk if you planned to and I don’t recommend that, trust me.

My Ratings: 10/10

I find the price reasonable noting that you get to experience other things rather than just the usual 1 hour massage. For me, the place has all the luxurious, expensive vibes in every corner and their staffs are really accommodating and friendly in nature. And yet you don’t need to go too far if you’re living in the Metro. :)

Will you give it a try? Well, I’m just saying the money you’ll spend is worth it as per my experience. :) Hello fellow stress employees? Time to treat yo’self and spend your OT pay wisely! Haha.

Hope you find this post interesting and informative as well.

Love Always,
Maria Hazel

  1. Massage is one of the oldest healing arts: Chinese records dating back 3,000 years document its use; the ancient Hindus, Persians and Egyptians applied forms of massage for many ailments; 출장안마
